The First Place Winner of the 2006 Songwriting Competition at Babbie Mason Music Conference International, Charity Zisengwe (pronounced as Zee-sank-way) is a highly spirited self-harmonizing singer, highly gifted songwriter, dynamic speaker and intercessor. She was born in Zimbabwe to Christian parents who were elders in their local church. She attended high school at a Christian school where she was saved.
During her 3rd year in high school Charity Zisengwe formed a trio with two of her dorm roommates. The trio attracted many students due to its rich harmony, which led to its growth from being a trio to a mass choir of more than 50 richly harmonized voices. God began to open doors for this choir to minister at church, school and community events, and Charity found herself leading an a cappella mass choir and teaching them how to harmonize. |

Through Charity Zisengwe's musical gift, God began opening doors for her to share His Word with other students as well as the church. Little did she know then, that God was birthing a teaching ministry that would open doors for her in her adult life to speak and teach in churches, conferences, women’s gatherings and various private events.
After high school Charity moved to the United States to attend college and earned her Business Administration degree with a Marketing Major from Montclair State University (NJ), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing in (London) UK.
Over the years, Charity Zisengwe has served in various positions in the church, which include being a member of the worship team, vocalist band member, soloist, instructor in the school of prayer, intercessor and cell group leader. Charity continues to bless the body of Christ with her inspiring and refreshing songs. She has been invited to sing and/or speak at various churches, conferences and special events.
Charity has recently recorded her self-titled debut CD, with one of the songs on the CD clinching the first place win at the 2006 Babbie Mason Music Conference International. The CD is available for purchase |
